BIOGRAPHY

Attorney Mario Utreras has a diverse legal background, well-suited for the wide range of clients the Firm represents.  He has been an associate and partner at national law firms, served as human resources vice president for a multistate healthcare provider, and has worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, the City of Chicago Department of Law, the Social Security Administration, and the Cook County State’s Attorneys’ Office before starting the firm in 2004.  He has also been an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University School of Law, teaching Appellate Advocacy. 

Mr. Utreras has handled over 100 federal civil lawsuits, and close to as many state courts ones as well.  He has jury trial experience, in state and federal courts, and is fluent in Spanish. He is a former President of the Hispanic Lawyers of Illinois, and has served on the boards of Gads Hill Center, Korean American Community Services, and the University of Illinois Latina/Latino Alumni Association.

In his free time, Mr. Utreras is an avid gardener, outdoorsmen, and fitness enthusiast, and has completed five marathons
